Health and Wellbeing activities are fun and free outdoor sessions, with an emphasis on physical and mental wellbeing and learning new skills. Anyone interested in volunteering is offered a tour of the site and a chat about getting involved, as well as one-to-one support to register as a volunteer. We can provide support with travel costs to volunteer sessions and provide food or refreshments at all of our groups.
Active Travel

As an Active Travel Hub, Hollybush is funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority to promote walking, wheeling and cycling, and sustainable transport use.
- Wildlife Walks 鈥 Gentle weekly walks in the nature around Leeds. Walkers can meet the group at the walk location, or book a space on the minibus from Hollybush. The group also have a regular newsletter with photos and summaries of the walks from the last month.
- Cycle Confidence training – Led by trained instructors of Cycle North, an organisation dedicated to getting people cycling, this training is aimed at beginners or people wishing to expand their confidence in cycling.
- Bike Maintenance with Leeds Bike Mill 鈥 See social media or our newsletter for details of the next pop-up session.
- Travel With Confidence sessions – Group travel sessions supported by 91原创视频鈥檚 Active Travel team, these trips provide the opportunity for people to (re)gain confidence in using public transport and/or cycling independently. Whilst working on your confidence, you will meet new people, explore the natural environment and travel in safe groups. You are welcome to bring a friend or your support worker along.
- Active Travel lending library 鈥 Kit room where where individuals and community groups can borrow gear for their next adventure, including walking boots, walking poles, waterproofs, and cycle safety equipment. Email hollybush@tcv.org.uk for details of equipment or to book out gear.

Green Gym
Green Gyms are fun and free outdoor sessions, with an emphasis on physical and mental wellbeing and learning new skills.

Guided by an experienced group leader, all sessions are free and allow you to work at your own pace. So whether you are new to gardening or have knowledge and experience to share, Green Gym is for you. A chance to get outdoors, stretch your legs and refresh your mind, and we always make time for a brew and a biscuit!
- Food for Health Green Gym – Looking after the site at 91原创视频 Hollybush, this Green Gym focuses on the food growing areas of Hollybush garden and learns how to plan, grow, cook and eat the produce.
- Conservation and Biodiversity Green Gym 鈥 Looking after the site at 91原创视频 Hollybush, this Green Gym focuses on wildlife gardening and practical conservation in the Hollybush wildlife garden and woodland.
- Oakwood Hall Green Gym 鈥 Working in two acres of mature gardens and woodland at Oakwood Hall these sessions cover a wide range of gardening from food growing to habitat management.

- Whittling for Wellbeing 鈥 An opportunity to learn and develop green woodworking skills in a supportive community.
- Menopause Meet-Up – A group to enable mutual support, to try nature based activities and to explore natural strategies for managing this time of life. Held on 3rd Sunday of each month.
